Blurify ("we", "us", "our") is a free, browser-based tool for blurring, censoring, and redacting images and videos. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected when you use our website and how it is used.

Your Files Stay on Your Device

All image and video processing happens entirely inside your browser using the Web APIs built into your device. No files, images, or videos are ever uploaded to our servers. We do not have access to any media you open or edit in Blurify.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information directly. However, the third-party services listed below may collect certain data automatically when you visit our website:

  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Browser type, operating system, and device category
  • Referring website or search query
  • General geographic region (country / city level)

This data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to any individual identity.

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics (GA4)

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (e.g. which pages are popular, how long sessions last). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymised usage data. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show you personalised ads based on your browsing history across sites. You can manage your ad personalisation preferences at adssettings.google.com.

Blurify itself does not set any first-party cookies. Cookies may be set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense as described above. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

We do not store any personal data on our servers. Analytics data retained by Google is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Blurify is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
